how we are Keeping Our Patients Safe

Caring for pets is necessary, and we’re still here for you. During this time, Rocky Point Animal Hospital remains committed to serving all pets in our community while keeping the safety of our staff and clients a priority.

For now, we are offering curbside check-in and check-out services. All communication regarding the exam, estimates, and diagnostic results will take place over the phone.

Here is what you can expect from our curbside service:

  1. Please call us when you arrive and remain in your car - (631) 744 - 8882.
  2. A member of our staff will come outside to collect any information from regarding your pet and to retrieve your pet.
  3. We ask that you to remain in your car during your pet’s exam. Please make sure to provide your cell phone number, the veterinarian and medical team will communicate updates and recommendations to you over the phone. We will allow clients into the hospital in certain critical cases.
  4. For feline patients, please make sure that your cat is in a secure carrier. For dogs, please make sure you dog is leashed so we can quickly and easily bring them into the hospital.
  5. All Invoicing/Payment will be handled over the phone or from the car.
  6. We will provide curbside delivery and payments for clients who are picking up or dropping off: food, medications, stool samples, etc.

We take the health and well-being of our clients, patients and staff very seriously and want to make sure we are at our best to care for your pets.

He earned his bachelor of chemical engineering in 1984 and a master of chemical engineering with a full fellowship in 1985, both from Manhattan College.     Dr. Kahn was born and raised on Long Island. She received her bachelor of arts in biology and animal communication from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and earned her doctor of veterinary medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.     Veterinarian

    Dr. Morgenstern got her start as a veterinary assistant at RPAH in the 1990s. After earning her DVM at Cornell University, Dr. Morgenstern worked in emergency medicine. She returned to RPAH as a veterinarian in 2018. In her free time, Dr. Morgenstern enjoys ice hockey and gardening. Her menagerie includes Trumansburg the bloodhound, Murphy the cat, Elvis the king snake and Sir Paul the crested gecko.

    Hospital Manager, Veterinary Technician

    Margaret has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 25 years. She attended Mercy College where she received her Bachelors in Veterinary Technology. Margaret joined the Rocky Point Animal Hospital Team in October 2020 as the Practice Manager. She has dedicated her life to animals and treats each and every one as if they were her own. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, sports and concerts.

    Veterinary Technician

    A Licensed Veterinary Technician, Dani graduated from Suffolk Community College in 1997 with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology. She previously worked full time at an animal hospital for 8 years and did some part-time work at yet another animal hospital. Dani has been at Rocky Point Animal Hospital for 7 years and loves her job helping animals with the rest of the RPAH family.

    Reception Manager

    Melinda has been with the Rocky Point Animal Hospital for 4 years and could not be any happier. She loves being able to work at a place that she considers home, with people that are like my family. Getting to witness and be a part of the care and compassion our animals get is the most rewarding. She is also a teacher who enjoys exploring new places, meeting new people, and, of course, going for car rides with her pup.

    Christine joined our client service team in 2014. She has been married to her husband Mike since 1992 and they have two amazing daughters. She is also a pet parent to an African grey parrot named Goofy and two lovable pups Hunter and Arlo. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and going to Disney.

    Danielle joined our team in 2019 as a client service representative. She is currently attending Stony Brook University for Health Science. Before Danielle joined our team, she participated in a summer internship in Disney. She is a dog mom to Hunter and Arlo and loves all animals, especially giraffes. She used to play softball for 12 years and continues to do so in her free time.

    Laura joined the Rocky Point Animal Hospital family in 2003 as a receptionist. Prior to her employment here, she worked for 5 years at another animal hospital and was active in Long Island Golden Retriever Rescue (LIGRR), where she served as vice president for 1 year. During her 3 years with LIGRR, Laura fostered more than 30 dogs in her home.     Melissa grew up in Queens and completed her BA/MA degrees at St. John's University in 2010. She then went on to study Veterinary Technology at Suffolk Community College and is currently completing her MBA online at St. Joseph's College. She has been part of the Rocky Point team for the past year. She as a senior rescue Pomeranian and 5 cats. Melissa loves to cook and ride motorcycles with her boyfriend.

During her free time, she likes to rider her motor cycle around town, make You Tube videos and enjoys walks on the beach with her 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier named Julie.
